En distintas ciudades de Estados Unidos, se registraron tres tiroteos que dejó un saldo de diez personas muertas.
El suceso que dejó más víctimas se produjo en la ciudad costera de Half Moon Bay, en la península de San Francisco, estado de California, donde fueron descubiertas siete víctimas mortales.

La policía informó que por este tiroteo fue detenida una persona identificada como Zhao Chunli, de 67 años de edad, quien se entregó a los agentes de seguridad. Sus motivos para realizar el ataque no fueron revelados aún.
Uno de estos tiroteos ocurrió en una escuela de la ciudad de Des Moines, en Iowa, donde dos estudiantes murieron y un profesor resultó herido, otro ataque con arma de fuego tuvo lugar en Oakland, California, donde una persona falleció y otras siete quedaron heridas.
