INTERACTIVO SOBRE LA ACTUALIZACION PERIODICA
DE NICARAGUA, DE PARTE DEL ALTO COMISIONADO

Excelentísimo señor Federico Villegas, Presidente del Consejo de Derechos Humanos de las Naciones Unidas,
Excelentísimo señor Volker Turk, Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Derechos Humanos;
Señoras y Señores Representantes de los Estados Miembros, apreciados Representantes de Organizaciones Internacionales.
El legítimo Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional de Nicaragua, no se cansará de repetir con dignidad, en voz alta e irrebatible, nuestro TOTAL RECHAZO a este tipo de mecanismos, que “actualizan sus reportes de Derechos Humanos”, de forma unilateral y parcializada; actuando como un “instrumento de presión e injerencismo”, al esgrimir argumentos alejados de la realidad de nuestra Patria, con la única finalidad, de mantenernos en el subdesarrollo y desvirtuar nuestros logros, para tenernos sumidos a las directrices de potencias extranjeras.
Somos un Pueblo pequeño en proporción territorial; pero con convicciones firmes!! Por ello, insistimos, que no podrán estas actualizaciones, detenernos en nuestra Ruta de Bienestar y Prosperidad, para hacer nuestra propia Historia, con absoluto respeto a la Soberanía de cada País.
Reafirmamos, que con estos Informes de actualización; la Oficina del Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Derechos Humanos, sigue mostrándose infame hacia nosotros, descalificando y denigración a nuestras Autoridades e Instituciones Nacionales; pese a ello, mantenemos nuestra Dignidad, nuestra Soberanía y nuestros avances en todos los ámbitos, para el beneficio de todos los nicaragüenses, en procura de los más elementales Derechos Humanos, a los que todo Pueblo debe aspirar.
Mientras sigan existiendo Informes como este, seguiremos denunciando la posición manipuladora y parcializada contra nuestro Pueblo y Gobierno, de parte de esta Oficina del Alto Comisionado; que no se pronuncia, por ejemplo, de las arbitrarias sanciones agresivas e ilegales que algunos Países nos han impuesto, las que realmente embisten directamente los Derechos Humanos esenciales de nuestro Pueblo y que constituyen un verdadero crimen de lesa humanidad.
Estamos conscientes que los desarrollos logrados en nuestro País, no agradan a quienes han vivido a costa de otros Pueblos: saqueando, agrediendo e interviniendo, con el fin de acaparar toda la riqueza para ellos; sin embargo, nosotros estamos convencidos, -como ya lo hemos manifestado-, que sin que la riqueza se democratice, jamás podría existir Derechos Humanos reales.
Reiteramos que somos respetuosos en la Comunidad Internacional, que no hemos sido, ni seremos una amenaza para ningún otro País del Mundo y por ello, reclamamos que este Organismo actúe hacia Nicaragua con Respeto, Justicia e Igualdad.

STATEMENT BY THE DELEGATION OF NICARAGUA
IN THE HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL; INTERACTIVE
DIALOGUE ON THE PERIODIC UPDATE OF
NICARAGUA, BY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER
15TH December, 2022
Excellency Federico Villegas, President of the United Nations Human Rights Council,
Excellency Mr. Volker Turk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights;
Ladies and gentlemen representatives of the Member States, valued Representatives of International Organizations.
The legitimate Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of Nicaragua will not tire of repeating with dignity, loudly and irrefutably, our TOTAL REJECTION of this type of mechanism, which «updates its Human Rights reports», in a unilateral and biased manner; acting as an «instrument of pressure and interference», using arguments that are far from the reality of our motherland, with the sole purpose of keeping us underdeveloped and undermining our achievements, keeping us submerged under the directives of foreign powers.
We are a small nation in territorial proportion; but with firm convictions!! For this reason, we insist, these updates will not be able to stop us on our path of wellbeing and prosperity, to make our own history, with absolute respect for the sovereignty of each country.
We reaffirm that with these Update Reports; the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights continues to be infamous towards us, discrediting and denigrating our authorities and national institutions; despite this, we maintain our dignity, our sovereignty and our progress in all areas, for the benefit of all Nicaraguans, in pursuit of the most basic Human Rights, to which all peoples must aspire.
As long as reports like this continue to exist, we will continue to denounce the manipulative and biased positions against our People and Government, on the part of this Office of the High Commissioner; that does not pronounce itself, for example, on the arbitrary, aggressive and illegal sanctions that some countries have imposed on us, which directly attack the essential Human Rights of our people and constitute true crimes against humanity.
We are aware that the developments achieved in our country do not please those who have lived at the expense of other peoples: looting, attacking and intervening, in order to hoard all the wealth for themselves; however, we are convinced, -as we have already stated-, that without the democratization of wealth, real Human Rights can never exist.
We reiterate that we are respectful in the international community, that we have not been, nor will we be a threat to any other country in the world and therefore, we demand that this organization act towards Nicaragua with respect, justice and equality.
