Estimada Señora:
Le saludamos en ocasión de hacer referencia a la inaceptable e inadmisible acción de la UNESCO, en contra del Estado Nicaragüense, al conceder un inmerecido reconocimiento al “Diario La Prensa”; lo que condenamos y rechazamos de la manera más enérgica, como ya lo hemos manifestado en la comunicación denominada GOLPE A LA UNESCO, que les ha sido hoy remitida.
El “Diario La Prensa”, representa la vil Traición a nuestra Patria, al ser un medio que ha promovido y respaldado a lo largo de la historia, la violencia, injerencia, crímenes de odio, crueldad, anticultura y antivalores; siendo un medio al servicio y la promoción y defensa de Ocupaciones e Intervenciones Militares y Políticas norteamericanas en Nicaragua.
Resulta profundamente vergonzoso que la UNESCO sea promotora y evidentemente cómplice, de una acción que ofende y agrede los Valores más profundos de la Identidad y Cultura Nacional Nicaragüense, perdiendo su objetividad y descalificándose a sí misma; por lo cual, el Gobierno de la República de Nicaragua, con base en el Artículo 2, Inciso 6 de la Constitución de la UNESCO, comunica su decisión Soberana e Irrevocable de retirarse de dicha Organización.

Dear Madam:
We greet you on the occasion of addressing the unacceptable and inadmissible actions of UNESCO against the Nicaraguan State, by granting undeserved recognition to the “Newspaper La Prensa”; which we condemn and reject in the strongest possible terms, as we have already stated in communication entitled “A BLOW TO UNESCO,” which was sent to you today.
The “Newspaper La Prensa” represents the vile betrayal against our Motherland, as a media that has historically promoted and supported violence, interference, hate crimes, cruelty, anti-culture and anti-values; as a media serving, promoting and defending US Military and Political Occupations and Interventions in Nicaragua.
It is deeply shameful that UNESCO appears as the promoter, and obviously as an accomplice, of an action that offends and attacks the deepest Values of Nicaragua’s National Identity and Culture, lacking its objectivity and discrediting itself. Therefore, the Government of the Republic of Nicaragua, based on Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the UNESCO Constitution, informs of its Sovereign and Firm decision to withdraw from the Organization.
