ALBA APLAUDE Y RESPALDA VOTACIÓN EN LA ONU CONTRA EL BLOQUEO EN CUBA
La Alianza Bolivariana para los Pueblos de Nuestra América (ALBA) aplaude y respalda a la República de Cuba tras la votación obtenida en la Asamblea General de la Organización de Naciones Unidas contra el ilegal y criminal bloqueo impuesto por Estados Unidos sobre este país hermano.
Una vez más, la inmensa mayoría de la comunidad internacional expresó el repudio de los pueblos a la desmedida, supremacista, improcedente e imperialista posición de los gobiernos estadounidenses contra Cuba durante más de seis décadas, causante de profundas pérdidas superiores a cinco mil millones de dólares al año, sufrimientos enormes provocados en salud, educación, acceso a energía y alimentos, y, en general, al bienestar del pueblo cubano y su economía.
Las presiones del gobierno de los Estados Unidos no fueron capaces de cambiar el apoyo abrumador de la comunidad internacional a que se ponga fin del bloqueo, ni ocultar el hecho irrebatible de que el bloqueo económico es un arma de agresión inaceptable.
El pueblo cubano digno y resiliente ha sabido crecerse en las dificultades, convencido de que la verdad lo asiste y de que doblegarse ante la crueldad de Washington no es una opción.
La Alianza Bolivariana continuará denunciando este acto ilegal e inmoral y exigiendo al gobierno de los Estados Unidos el fin inmediato al ilegal bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero impuesto a Cuba, así como, su exclusión de la arbitraria y unilateral lista de países que supuestamente patrocinan el terrorismo. Asimismo, seguirá exigiendo respeto al derecho que de todos los pueblos del mundo a vivir sin sanciones y sin amenazas.

ALBA APPLAUDS AND SUPPORTS UN VOTE AGAINST THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED ON CUBA
The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) applauds and supports the Republic of Cuba following the vote obtained in the United Nations General Assembly against the illegal and criminal blockade imposed by the United States on this brother country.
Once again, the vast majority of the international community expressed the peoples’ rejection of the excessive, supremacist, inappropriate, and imperialist position of the
U.S. governments against Cuba for more than six decades, causing profound losses exceeding five billion dollars a year, huge suffering in health, education, access to energy and food, and, in general, to the well-being of the Cuban people and their economy.
Pressure from the U.S. government was unable to change the overwhelming support of the international community for ending the blockade, nor to hide the irrefutable fact that the economic blockade is an unacceptable weapon of aggression.
The dignified and resilient Cuban people have managed to thrive in the face of adversity, convinced that truth is on their side and that bowing to Washington’s cruelty is not an option.
The Bolivarian Alliance will continue to denounce this illegal and immoral act and demand that the United States government immediately end the illegal economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed on Cuba, as well as its exclusion from the arbitrary and unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism. Likewise, it will continue to demand respect for the right of all peoples of the world to live without sanctions and without threats.
